Theoretical, Experimental and Industrial Aspects of Rheology
25th to 28th May 1999
This Rheology Course, sponsored by
TA Instruments of Leatherhead,
Surrey, will take place at the University of Strathclyde's Educational
and Recreational Centre, Ross Priory, on Loch Lomond, Scotland. The
course, which is residential, is intended to cover the basics of
rheology, modern experimental techniques (including constant stress
rheometry, rheogoniometry, extensional flow and industrial aspects of
rheology) and lead to state-of-the-art concepts in flow, data
acquisition and interpretation.
The lectures will be given by well known rheologists, including
Professor H.A. Barnes of Unilever plc, Professor R.A. Pethrick and Dr.
N.E. Hudson of the University of Strathclyde, Professor T.E.R. Jones of
the University of Plymouth and Professor K. Walters of U.W. Aberystwyth
