The Bulgarian Rheological Society has the pleasure to invite you to participate in the First Balkan Seminar and Workshop on Rheology. The co-organizers are Hellenic Society of Rheology, Rheological Society - Slovenia, Romanian Group of Rheology, and Turkish Rheological Society.

The Seminar and the Workshop on rheology will be held at the Hotel of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, situated in the academic complex in Sofia. The complex has halls for conferences, symposia, etc. It has suitable tram and bus connections with the center of the city.

THE SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME

The program of the Workshop includes the following sessions: 1. Suspensions and Colloids; 2. Polymer Melts; 3. Rheometry; 4. Process Engineering; 5. Biorheology. Parallel events are envisaged - special session for young scientists, exhibition of rheological instruments, a business meeting.

REGISTRATION FORM AND CALL FOR PAPERS

The registration form and the abstract of the report (up to 300 words) should be received not later than February 15th, 2001. The second announcement will be sent only to participants that have replied to the first circular. The other important deadlines are February 28th, 2001 (notification for acceptance and guidelines for preparing the manuscripts) and March 30th, 2001 (registration fee and submission of manuscripts).

REGISTRATION FEES

The registration fee is 200 USD if paid before March 30 2001 (250 USD after this date) and 100 USD for students. It covers the materials of the workshop (including the proceedings). The fee for delivering a business report is 200 USD (400 USD for participation in the exhibition).
