The British Society of Rheology Recent news of BSR awards

Council is pleased to announce that the Annual Award for 2002 was presented to Prof. MR Mackley at the joint BSR/INNFM meeting in Wales, December 2002.

• The Annual Award for 2001 was presented to Prof. HA Barnes, OBE at the BSR/RSC/IOP meeting held in Manchester, 29th - 31st August 2001.
• The Annual Award for 2000 was presented to Prof. TCB McLeish at the BSR/RSC conference held in Durham on 18th and 19th September 2000.
• The 1999 Annual Award was presented to Dr R.C. Ball and Dr J.R. Melrose at a meeting in Aberystwyth on 15th December 1999
• At Rheology 2000 in Cambridge the BSR presented a Gold Medal to Professor R I Tanner of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics, University of Sydney in recognition of his distinguished contributions to Rheological knowledge and the Rheology community.
  Professor Tanner delivered a keynote lecture.
• On 11th March 1999 a Special Award was presented to Peter Anderson in recognition of his services to BSR.
