In the wake of the Great Recession and subsequent geographies of austerity, The Re-imagining Economies Project brings together members of the Economic Geography research group at Newcastle in productive conversation.  We seek to explore new theoretical, methodological, policy and practical possibilities for doing economy differently, and for challenging the socioeconomic hardship of marginalised groups.  We explore these geographical possibilities in relation to four key areas:
