Victor Esendi

Victor Esendi is an experienced development research professional. He has been involved in a wide range of research projects across the East Africa region. Over the last seven years, he has been involved in various research and evaluation projects both as a team leader and as a member. His recent experience deals with developing market potential for high value traditional crops and support in policy and practice communication on small-scale farming. He has undertaken both long term and short-term assignments, managing research and evaluation projects mainly as a team leader, supervising multidisciplinary teams of researchers and providing technical support for evaluation design, evidence based policy development and knowledge management.  He has the advantage of applying excellent sociological, writing and demographic research skills in the fields of agriculture, market development, health, migration and development.
Victor has worked widely in the region with different organizations including Practical Action Consulting, Consortium on Financial Systems and Poverty (CFSP/MIT), Columbia University, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Academy for Educational Development (AED), Program for Appropriate Technology in Health (PATH), PSI-Kenya, Population Council, Swisscontact, Christian Aid, FairTrade Africa, Christian Blind Mission (CBM) and French SCAC.  Victor holds a Master of Arts Degree in Population Studies, majoring in development and migration from the University of Nairobi.
