	ACST-2 - asymptomatic carotid stenosis International multi-centre randomised trial to determine whether surgery (CEA) in patients with asymptomatic disease reduces the risk of stroke when compared to stenting.
	ARUBA - Brain arteriovenous malformations (BAVMs) International randomised trial to compare intervention and conservative treatment in patients with unruptured brain arteriovenous malformation (BAVM).
CURRENTLY RECRUITING	Clear-III - Intraventricular Thrombolysis Trial International, multi-centre randomised controlled trial investigating rt-PA as a treatment for intracerebral haemorrhage, intraventricular haemorrhage and hydrocephalus.
IN FOLLOW UP	ISAT - Subarachnoid haemorrhage A multicentre prospective randomised clinical trial comparing neurosurgical clipping and endovascular coil treatment for patients with a ruptured cerebral aneurysm causing acute subarachnoid haemorrhage.
IN FOLLOW UP	ISUIA - Unruptured intracranial aneurysm Cohort study to define the long-term risks of UIA rupture and other UIA natural history outcomes.
	NEWFORM - Cervical radiculopathy Pilot study comparing anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) and posterior foraminotomy as surgical interventions for cervical radiculopathy.
	RESCUE ICP - Severe head injury International multicentre, prospective, randomised controlled trial on the role of decompressive craniotomy in management of severe head injury.
	STASH - aneurysmal subarachnoid haemorrhage Multicentre placebo-controlled double-blinded phase II trial assessing the clinical benefits of simvastatin in aneurysmal subarachnoid haemorrhage.
	STICH II - superficial supratentorial lobar haematomas International multi-centre trial to evaluate the role of early surgery in superficial supratentorial lobar haematomas without intraventricular haemorrhage.
	STITCH - Surgical Trial in Traumatic intraCerebral Haemorrhage A randomised clinical trial of surgery for traumatic ICH and contusion.
	TOPSAT - Treatment of Poor-grade Sub-arachnoid haemorrhage Trial A pilot study, based in Newcastle, randomising patients with WFNS grades IV and V comparing early (<24hours) or late endovascular treatment.
