Venue & Access

The project is hosted by the School of Modern Languages, Newcastle University—a city campus that spills right into the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne, the most vibrant city in the North East of England.

The conference and translation workshop will take place at the Great North Museum: Hancock and the Research Beehive, both conveniently located near the School of Modern Languages.

Right around the corner from these venues, the art exhibition is on display at the Atrium and the Long Gallery in the Fine Arts Building.

The film-related talks and screenings take place at the historic Tyneside Cinema, the only purpose-built newsreel theatre in the UK still operating as a cinema.

Newcastle International Airport is just a 20-minute Metro ride away from campus and the city centre, where trains from London, Manchester and Edinburgh arrive several times an hour.
