Venue

The project was hosted by the School of Modern Languages, Newcastle University—a city campus that spills right into the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne, the most vibrant city in the North East of England.

The conference and translation workshop/symposium took place at the Great North Museum: Hancock and the Research Beehive, both conveniently located near the School of Modern Languages.

Right around the corner from these venues, the art exhibition was on display at the Atrium and the Long Gallery in the Fine Arts Building.

The film-related talks and screenings were held at the historic Tyneside Cinema, the only purpose-built newsreel theatre in the UK still operating as a cinema.
