Commons Select Committee session two online

The UK House of Commons' Select Committee on Science and Technology met yesterday to discuss medical device regulation with industry representatives, regulators and the EC.  The Committee heard from:

  • John Howlett, British Standards Institute (BSi)
  • Peter Ellingworth, Association of British Healthcare Industries (ABHI)
  • Jacqueline Minor, Director of Consumer Affairs, European Commission
  • Sir Kent Woods, Chief Executive of Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA)
  • Lord Howe, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Quality, Department of Health

Commons Select Committees are designed to deal with the day to day detail of parliamentary business and make recommendations to the UK govenment.
