Dr James Frith
Dr James Frith is a Consultant Geriatrician in Newcastle and a Senior Lecturer in Newcastle University. Clinically he specialises in falls, dizziness and blackouts in adults of all ages, in Newcastle’s large Falls and Syncope Service. His research is funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) as part of a prestigious five year fellowship. His research focusses on dizziness in older people and ways to avoid using medication to treat it. Older people are the biggest users of the NHS but are routinely excluded from research. Dr Frith is keen to address this inequality by working with the JLA.
