Dr Thomas Ploetz visited China in the middle of January 2013 relating to Theme 11.
Dr Anil Namdeo, Professor Margaret Bell, Paul Goodman visited China (Wuhan University) 20th-30th Jan 2013 for a workshop relating to Theme 8.

Dr Zhiliang Lin visited Newcastle on Monday 29th October 2012 until 23rd Jan 2013 to work on Theme 9.
Professor Jincheng Huang from Jishou University brought local bio-oils for engine/trigen tests on 28th January 2013 relating to Theme 1.
Dr Deng from Dalian Maritime University visited Newcastle University 31st January to 12th February 2013 to discuss Theme 4.
Boru Jia from BIT visited Newcastle University between 26th January to 6th February 2013 to discuss Theme 3.
