Glasgow based artist Tessa Lynch is known for multi-layered works that combine sculpture, performance and public actions Her most recent exhibition Café Concrete currently in Glasgow Sculpture Studios continues the artist’s formal investigations into the mimicry of urban objects, techniques and scenarios in order to provide a space for commentary on both the emotional impact of the built environment and the 21st century city and the neo-liberalism that commands its design.

Tessa Lynch received her MFA from Glasgow School of Art in 2013 and her BA Hons Tapestry from Edinburgh College of Art in 2007. Solo projects and exhibitions include Better Times, performance for Whitstable Biennale, Kent (2012), Alexandrite, performance at Edinburgh International Climbing Arena and exhibition at Collective Gallery, Edinburgh (2010) News You Can Use, New Work Scotland Programme, (2007), Kelly, GI Glasgow International (2014), Performing Sculpture, Modern One, Edinburgh (2012), Medienmarionetten Hamburg (2009) and Sunday Supplement, Camden Arts Centre, London (2008).
