She will be talking about this new role and her own practice which combines sculpture, installation, photography and video. Kennedy looks for evidence of societal change in the landscape and thinks about the impact this might have on attitudes towards the environment. Interpreting and responding to the specifics of a place forms the foundation of her creative practice. The act of walking is integral to the formulation of ideas for her. Where she lives has had a deep and lasting impact on her work, the geological and social structures of Allenheads, Northumberland continue to form a very important part of her creative practice.

Recent projects engage in creative research into the transformation of materials and parallels between geological processes and psychological states. She has exhibited at - Oriel Davies Gallery, Newtown and Robert Owen Museum, Newtown, Wales, The Centre for Alternative Technology, Machynlleth, Wales and MOMA Wales The Shed, Haltwhistle, Allenheads Contemporary Arts. Mining Institute (NEIMME), Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
