Richard Grayson

Richard Grayson (b 1958) is an artist, curator and writer. Recent solo exhibitions include the Magpie Index Matts Gallery London, 2012, The Objectivist Studio Alma Enterprises London 2011, The Golden Space City of God, Kunst Museum Thurgau Switzerland 2010 and Matts Gallery 2009. The De La Warr Pavilion 2010 presented a five year retrspective of his work in 2010. Group exhibitions include the 2010 Sydney Biennale, and Choral Visual, Siemens Foundation Casa de la Cultura, Buenos Aires, Argentina

He curated the 2002 Sydney Biennale The World May Be Fantastic, the Hayward Gallery Touring exhibition A Secret Service: art concealment compulsion 2006 and Polytechnic, Raven Row which looked at time-based and experimental practices in the UK from the mid-seventies and early eighties. London 2010.He was a founder member of the Basement Group 1979-1984 Newcastle upon Tyne, an artists collective that made and represented time-based and performance practice.
