… he caresses the table for a moment - sniffs first the middle fingers of his right hand and then the upturned palm of his left. He takes out of his pocket a handkerchief and begins to wipe down the table - the strokes becoming insistent. Pushing down, the table rears up at an angle to balance on two legs.
The man continues to polish the table gently – together, in turn they resist and yield. He stops - allows the table to fall - puts his right foot up on the table and wipes the spit in his left hand onto his shoe before polishing it with the handkerchief … Actions from THE DRESSER performed at the ICA London in 2009
