Dr Kathryn Cunningham

Dr Kathryn B. Cunningham MA (Hons.), MSc, PhD.  Kathryn completed an undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of St Andrews in 2008 and a Masters in Health Psychology at the University of Stirling in 2009.  She then worked at the University of Edinburgh as a Research Assistant on an RCT of a psychological therapy for depression in people with cancer, before completing her PhD at the University of Dundee in the area of loneliness and cancer in 2014.  While undertaking her doctoral research she held research positions in cancer care, cardiac rehabilitation and intensive care.  Since completing her PhD she has been working at the University of Dundee on a feasibility trial of an intervention to reduce alcohol consumption in obese men.  She has joined the FiCTION trial as a Research Fellow and will be conducting interviews and focus groups with children, parents and dentists to find out their perceptions of the different interventions involved in the trial.
