The EDETOX DatabaseThe EDETOX database was developed during the EDETOX project by Sarah Soyei and Faith Williams at the University of Newcastle. There are Two different versions, an MS Access application, and a web-based version available at http://edetox.ncl.ac.uk. The Database contains data that has been produced by in vitro and in vivo percutaneous penetration studies. These have been compiled from the published literature. The EDETOX project is now complete and funding has ceased.data generated during the projectwill be entered in the near future. The information can be used to establish and validate mathematical models that have been produced to predict percutaneous penetration. The data can be filtered in a variety of ways and can be extracted in printed reports or exported to excel spreadsheets. EDETOX CriteriaAll available studies on a particular chemical have been entered on to the database and an assessment has been made as to whether information fits EDETOX criteria. In order for a study to satisfy EDETOX criteria the following must all be clearly stated:
