Angelika Böck

Enigma Veneziana (2009) video still

Angelika Böck's work 'Enigma Veneziana' is a video installation which was realised over a period of two month in Venice, Italy, in 2009. The artist collected untold stories from over twenty Venetians through a social network. These secrets were then sung by female and a male opera singer to attract audiences who listen to stories: The men’s secrets were recounted by male vocalists, the women’s untold stories by a female vocalist – in Italian at the locations where the incidents originally took place.
