Cognition in Affective Disorders: Experimental Neurobiology and Clinical Evaluation (CADENCE)

The CADENCE Special Interest Group has arisen out of a Wellcome Trust funded Masterclass in Clinical Neuroscience titled: “Tackling Cognitive Dysfunction in Affective Disorders:  Focus on Monoamines and Corticosteroids”.  Accordingly the current main areas of interest of CADENCE centre on the role of serotonergic and HPA axis abnormalities in the cognitive dysfunction of affective disorders (see the scientific rational for this).  However, the interests are wider than this as illustrated by the topics covered by the 2008 Masterclass.
