Welcome to the Aphasia Centre

The North East Aphasia Centre is situated within Speech and Language Sciences at Newcastle University. The Aphasia Centre provides intensive speech and language therapy for people with aphasia.

We provide training opportunities for Speech & Language Therapy students on the programme at Newcastle University. Staff working in the Aphasia Centre are actively engaged in research into aphasia and aphasia therapy.

We have a strong philosophy of collaboration with the NHS, people with aphasia themselves, with the Tavistock Trust for Aphasia, and with NETA: the North East Trust for Aphasia.
