Hilary Redden

Ms Redden is a postgraduate student in SagE-CEAM researching the use of UK macroalgae as biofuel particularly seasonal variability with respect to methane gas production from anaerobic digestion and the macroalgae’s concomitant variations in lipid, protein and carbohydrate content. Her previous employment was at The Macaulay Land Use Research Institute, Aberdeen, UK. She ran the fibre testing laboratory and was involved in the development of the Scottish cashmere goat and a new sheep breed; the Bowmont. She is the sole owner of: The Fibre Lab, www.thefibrelab.co.uk which is a spin-out company from her previous work.
