Carmen Hubbard

Applied social scientist (agricultural economist) with specific expertise in agricultural and rural development policy and animal welfare. She has substantial experience as a researcher working on a variety of policy-oriented international projects funded by the European Union (EU) and World Bank. Her research experience includes working on various interdisciplinary projects involving both social and natural scientists.  As well as her employment as Research Manager at the Centre for Rural Economy she is currently working on an EUFP7 Project which aims to assess the socio-economic consequences of measures promoting good animal welfare, and reveal what policy instruments might be effective in achieving improvements.
